Privacy Policy

The short version

Group members don’t need accounts, and we don’t collect their personal data. Group leaders and businesses give us the minimum needed to run the service. We don’t sell personal data to anyone.

Members (people who use deals)

Opening a deal link and getting a code requires no account, no name, no phone number. For fraud prevention we keep a one-way hashed fingerprint of the network a code was requested from — it cannot be turned back into an address, and we never store raw IP addresses. Businesses see only aggregate numbers (“23 people came in”), never who.

Group leaders

We collect your email (sign-in), your name as you want members to see it, your group’s name, kind, platform and area, and — only if you choose to earn — the PayNow details for paying your share. If you verify a Telegram group, our bot reads the group’s member count; it cannot read your messages beyond the verification command you post, and you can remove it after verifying.

Businesses

We collect your business name, contact details, outlet address, and the offers you post. Deal photos you upload are public (they appear on deal pages).

What we do with it

Run the service, match offers to nearby groups, prevent fraud, pay out earnings, meet legal obligations, and improve the product. Offer text may be processed by an AI service to tidy wording; no member data is ever involved. Our infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email) process data on our behalf under their own safeguards.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent (which may mean closing your account). Write to hello@knowtepad.com — we respond within 30 days. We keep data only as long as the service and the law require; earnings records are kept for tax purposes.
