What Knowtepad is

Knowtepad connects local businesses with groups, communities and audiences through exclusive deals and perks. Group leaders choose what to share; members use single-use codes at the business. We are the platform in the middle — we are not a party to the sale between a business and a customer.

For group leaders

Using Knowtepad for your group is free. You choose what to share and you may skip anything. Deals you claim are exclusive to your group — sharing a deal link outside your group breaks that exclusivity and may lead to a deal being paused or your account being closed. If you choose to earn, your share comes from Knowtepad’s own fee, it is disclosed on every deal page, and you are responsible for your own tax reporting on amounts we pay you. Where earnings are designated to a group’s treasury, you confirm you are authorised to designate the receiving account.

For businesses

You pay a placement fee for distribution and a small fixed bonus per redeemed code, as shown at the point of posting. You are responsible for honouring the offers you post, for their accuracy, and for complying with the laws that apply to your business. We may decline or remove offers that are unlawful, misleading, or a poor fit for the communities on the platform. Placement never depends on how a group leader chooses to earn — placement cannot be bought.

Codes and fair use

Codes are single-use and issued per person. We may limit, pause, or revoke codes and deals where we see misuse — including link sharing beyond a group, automated requests, or redemption patterns inconsistent with a group’s size. Businesses may dispute a redemption within 48 hours.

Money

Knowtepad collects fees from businesses and, where a group leader has chosen to earn, pays their share out weekly via PayNow as part of settling its own fees. Amounts owed are shown in the leader’s vault. We may withhold payouts connected to suspected misuse while we review.

Accounts and endings

Sign-in is by email code. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can stop using Knowtepad any time; we can suspend accounts that break these terms. We will give notice of material changes to these terms.

Liability

Knowtepad provides the platform “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we are not liable for the quality of goods or services provided by businesses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
